The Hand Therapy service aims to assist individuals to achieve optimal physical and functional outcomes, following surgery, an injury, or when health conditions are impacting the upper limb. A certified therapist provides the service, and specialises in the treatment of conditions relating to the hand, wrist and elbow. We work closely with the referring specialist and tailor treatment programs to individual needs.
The Occupational Therapy service works with individuals to improve their ability to manage everyday activities that have been impacted by an injury, surgery, or health conditions. Everyday activities addressed may span personal-care, domestic, and community domains. We aim to help you regain, or increase your independence in valued activities, via assessment and interventions focusing on education, functional re-training, home environment adaptation, and/or equipment prescription.
